We offer many different types of activities to meet the individual interests of our members.  Here you will find a brief summary of what is offered.  It's so easy to become involved!

Dining Opportunities

Dining In -  Each second Saturday of the month, those who enjoy entertaining open their homes and host a dinner.  The host provides the entree, bread, and non-alcoholic beverages. The guests provide appetizers, side dishes and desserts.  Guests may also choose to bring a beverage of choice, such as wine. A good time is had by all!

Dining Out - Each month on the fourth Saturday, rotating hosts choose an area restaurant to visit.  From American to Vietnamese, we try it all! So, come join this group of diners who love to share a great meal!

Monthly Luncheons - Our monthly luncheon generally includes an activity such as a tour, lecture or demonstration. These luncheons are the highlight of the month for many of our members!

Progressive Dinner - Once a year members make the rounds at participating members' homes for appetizers, a main course and dessert.  It's a fun evening for everyone!

Games

Bowling - On Friday mornings from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. a team competes in a women's league at Brunswick Zone in Eden Prairie. If you are a beginner or an experienced bowler, it doesn't matter!  Substitutes are usually necessary.

Bridge - There are several opportunities for play.  Games are held in members' homes and substitutes are always necessary.    Great commraderie comes from playing with this group! Also, keep in mind that a new group can always be started. Groups meet the 2nd and 4th Mondays at 10:30 a.m., the 1st Tuesday at 11:15 a.m., the 3rd Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Bunco - This is an easy-to-learn, easy-to-play dice game.  Several winners and the biggest loser share prize money.  Members play on the fourth Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The schedule varies in November and December due to the holidays. This group has a blast playing and laughing!

Golf - Join other Newcomers playing in a 9-hole golf league at Braemer Golf Course in Edina.  We tee off Monday mornings from May through September.  This is a fun and social league. You will want to sign up early!

Mah Jongg -  When asked how she lived to be 100 years old, a woman answered, "I play Mah Jongg to keep my head sharp!"  This ancient Chinese tile game is a little bit challenging to learn. It keeps you on your toes looking for alternate ways to make "Mah Jongg!"  This group plays the first and third Mondays of each month (unless a holiday conflicts). They are always enthusiastic to teach beginners.  They meet at 9:30 a.m. for social time and play begins at 10:00 a.m.
